Each year, BCS hosts multiple week-long sessions tailored to specific age groups. Our immersive, experiential curriculum provides attendees with deep fluency in sustainable practices, offering practical instruction in, but not limited to:
Our educational sessions offer an intensive immersion into sustainability and regenerative farming. Over the course of a 5, 7, or a 10 day session, participants examine critical agricultural issues, exploring current problems and possible solutions. Our goal is for every participant to recognize the interconnectedness of all life and leave as an informed steward, equipped with the tools to champion sustainable change and long-term environmental health within their home communities.
The Scholarship Impact Initiative
To promote a lasting ripple effect, scholarship recipients for sessions at BCS agree to complete a "Takeaway Project" within one year of their session. These projects are tailored to each participant's age and skills, ranging from:
The planning process for the project begins during the session, where participants collaborate with a BCS team member to outline their goals. Following the program, a BCS staff member provides monthly check-ins and advice to help support the scholar in successfully completing their project.
The objective of these sessions and the takeaway projects is to create a ripple from our Center out into the world. By bringing this knowledge, inspiration, and motivation back to their hometowns, our participants multiply our collective impact and help drive the greater good for the planet.
