Mornings are full of real-world adventure as campers dive into the rewarding chores of farm life, moving beyond the simple egg harvest to the vital systems of a working farm. A key part of our curriculum is active animal husbandry, where campers work together to move our livestock from one pasture to another as part of our rotational grazing system, learning how this practice restores the soil and keeps our animals healthy. They will also take on the responsibility of maintaining our mobile chicken coops, ensuring our birds have fresh feed and water as they follow the herds across the fields.
This session’s special focus is on building together. Campers will build picnic tables designed for our different community gathering spaces on the farm. While the children step into the 'maker' role to learn timeless skills—measuring, marking, and the safe use of saws and drills—the true magic happens through collaborative construction. By working in teams to transform raw lumber into something tangible, campers discover that big projects require communication, patience, and shared effort. By the end of the week, your camper will have discovered the unmatched satisfaction of physical work and the deep pride of knowing their collective handiwork has created a beautiful place for others to gather for years to come.
