A close-up photograph shows a person wearing a dark blue t-shirt with white lettering that reads "Delaware County NY" and light grey pants, sifting through dark, clumpy soil on a large wooden-framed mesh screen that rests on a wheelbarrow. Their hands are covered in dirt as they work the soil. The background shows a pile of soil and green grass.

Welcome to the Muddy Boots and Barnyard Roots Week!

Join us for a five-day outdoor journey into the heart of farm life. Each morning, campers will embrace the responsibilities of a young farmer by providing hands-on care, including feeding and grooming our farm animals. Campers will make daily stops in the pastures with the sheep, the resident pigpen, and the mobile chicken coops. This week features an immersive "Green Thumb" project where children collaborate to engineer a sustainable compost system and learn how to build new garden beds in the food plot. This program offers a unique blend of physical play and environmental education while teaching kids the magic of soil science. It will be a week of muddy hands and happy hearts as we experience what it takes to grow food.
