Sustainability

Lifelong education is the backbone of our regenerative farm where learning evolves with the land
This connection calls for observation, curiosity, critical thinking, and adaptability. One can find a deep relationship to nature through experiencing different stages of life through various seasons.
Farm ToursVisitors to the farm are invited to experience the cadence of regenerative agriculture, cultivating a connection with the land while observing sustainability in practice.
ClassesThrough hands-on instruction, on-farm classes offer learning that equips participants with practical skills, ecological understanding, and the motivation to cultivate sustainability in their lives and communities.
SessionsSessions offer in-depth exploration of themes immersing participants in regenerative practices, ecological theory, and seasonal rhythms that deepen understanding and inspire lasting environmental stewardship.
We believe that experiential learning offers powerful and valuable ways to digest natural phenomena and make sense of the world in which we live
By actively engaging people in real-world experiences, we aim to inspire deep understanding of subject matter, essential skill development, increased motivation, and great personal growth. Learning is so much more than acquiring information. Here, knowing and understanding are different and go hand in hand.

The Bovina Center for Sustainability hosts a variety of events on the 267-acre regenerative farm
Farm-to-table experiences
Diners get a unique, hands-on connection to their food source as they pick ingredients straight from the soil and vines before a chef transforms them into a hyper-local dish.
This immersive approach lets participants trace the journey of their meal from the earth to the plate within minutes, providing a profound appreciation for the farming process.

Conferences
Our conferences on the farm gather changemakers, educators, land stewards, and people of all interests. These gatherings nurture collaboration, share current knowledge, and often spark innovative solutions for a more sustainable future.
Attendees leave full, both mind and body, ready to spread goodness and hope outward from themselves to their community and from their community to the world.

Group Retreats
Retreat guests will have the opportunity to disconnect from the modern world and directly participate in restorative practices.
We have observed a powerful synergy: the work of rejuvenating the land often aligns perfectly with finding balance within oneself.
